Other Artwork
Here's other things I have done - some literary-inspired, some inspired by other art, some DnD-inspired, and still others just produced by a simple spark of imagination.
"Charge!" I wanted to try something different from the
usual stock-still portrait. Graphite pencil, c. April 20, 2002.
When my character Beota died (the first time) her good friend Alia, the halfling
rogue, rescued her, and was very sad. 11" x 14", graphite pencil on Strathmore sketch paper, March 2002.
A group portrait from the Rise of Heroes
DnD campaign. An elven bard, a human barbarian, a halflinf rogue, a human
wizard, an elven wizard, and a human paladin. We're a motley crew.
This is entirely in mechanical pencil. 8.5" x 11", March 2002.
"Windswept" Simply put, an elf. 8.5" x 11", 5H graphite pencil, April 24, 2002.
"Dawn on the Temple Ruins, 2" This is a copy of a similar
painting of my own, that I replicated and gave to a friend of mine. Done
in Windsor & Newton Acrylics. 9" x 12", acrylic on canvas paper, March 2002.
"Ignudi" A copy of a Michelangelo fresco from the Sistine
Chapel. Done entirely in one #2 pencil, c. July 2000.
"Hands" A copy of one of the most famous images of
Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel frescos - the creation of Adam. #2 pencil, c. July 2000.
"Michelangelo's Sibyl" Chalk pastel, copied from a print. 14" x 11", chalk pastel on Strathmore sketch paper, c. June 2000.
"Sibyl, Deciphering" A sibyl of my own, in chalk pastel. 14" x 11", chalk pastel on Strathmore sketch paper, c. July 2000
"Headress" A young priestess. 7" x 7". Pencil, May 2002.
"Countess of Swords" A self-portrait as an art-deco tarot
card. C. May 2002. And in CG color here, c. July 2002 =>
"Night Serenade," or, "Interrupted Evening" 11" x 8.5", graphite, July 2002.
"Roesia" My second major DnD character, a half-elf rogue who
fought her way to freedom from slavery. 10" x 8", graphite pencil, June 2002.
"Looking Inconspicuous" From my first DnD
character sketches, CGed in Photoshop. May 10, 2002.
"Celtic Birds" This is old, like from 1997 or 1998. Let me
say that photocopiers are your friends.
"Charlie Tuna" This, too, is old, and not very good, but it is
so endlessly amusing to me that I had to put it up. We were studying Andy
Warhol in art class...this must have been 9th grade, because I dropped the
visual arts classes after that year. Tempera paint.
Branwen de Bretagne: In French 4, my junior year of high school, we had to write and illustrate our own children's stories....
