Salutations!

You, reader, are privileged enough to be reading the oh-so-thrilling web-annals of the most illustrious Meredith A. Bailey, aka La Comtesse Aslinde de Vermandois or Lady Syagria, the noms-de-plume (or noms-de-crime, as the case may be) being used whenever the fancy strikes her.

September 15, 2002: Ye gods and little fishes! Yet more updates!

I've devoted much of the past couple of days to adding to the genealogy pages I have posted here. It seems that a few of the random tidbits of information I posted attracted the attention of a fellow genealogist and distant cousin of mine, and we've spent the past couple of days exchanging a flurry of emails, which has resulted in my posting the Crittenden-Heaton Index. This, of course, resulted in me doing absolutely none of my homework this weekend. Whoops.

Until our wandering paths cross again, Hail and Farewell.

All About Me: Isn't that what you always wanted to know?  Desultory observations on fencing. Genealogy Pages: Family stories - usually of some amusement.  Insanity, murder, intrigue - what's not to like?
Pictures: Some photos of the places I've been - still under construction. My Art:  I've amazingly hit upon something like inspiration this past year, and the muses have been kind.
D&D: Since coming to college I've found myself pulled into the world of the RPG. Yes, I'm a geek. Random Quotes: From and concerning friends. Largely guaranteed to confuse whoever else reads them.

Old News:

September 4, 2002: Keeping up the tradition of updates being few and far in between...

I've overhauled the art section of my site here completely, so now there's actually stuff to look at there! Woohoo. I'm working on gradually updating/overhauling my entire site here, so I've taken down the 2-year-old fencing photos in hopes of putting up some new stuff there soon. I'm now in my third year of college, taking General Limnology, Evolution, Intro to Marine Biology and Organic Chem, may the gods help me. Hopefully this semester will be better than the last....

November, 2001: Hello, Junior Year. Well, Sophomore year...second year of college, but the whole lots o' credits thing - meh, whatever. I figured it was time to update this thing since I've ignored it for the past 4 or 5 months. However, I have precious little that is new to post, from absolute lack of free time to work on it. I'll go add a few things to the Random Quotes page, methinks. Word.

Much to my dismay, Mr. Nice has been removed from the World Wide Web, probably due to the fact that he was entertaining and amusing, unlike the vast majority of web sites out there, including mine. He's now residing in that peaceful spot reserved for good tv shows that get cancelled in favor of bad sitcoms and other things of that ilk.

July 2001: Actually, this is no longer true. I am back at school, but it is the summer session, and, masochist that I am, I decided to take a class, Introduction to Oceanography. The class is, in reality, very simple (of course, I've only been here - good lord - 4 days) and I'm also working in the my academic advisor's laboratory. It's a pretty darn good deal - work in the morning, have the afternoons to myself, then go to class from 6-8 at night. I'm liking this.

April 2001: I am still, gradually, adding things and changing things on ye olde web page. The latest updates? I'm back from Spring break, the highlights of which were attempting to teach my sister the rudiments of foil fencing, taking my cat to the vet, and minding a friend's rather sexually frustrated guinea pig.

Hey look! I finally got the guest book to work! Sign it so that my work is not all for naught.
