Photography is a hobby of mine, when I have time to devote myself and energies to it!
Formerly, I had all these laid out on one page.
Then I realized that it would take forever to load.
Thus, this format.
Gateway Arch: St. Louis, Missouri, August 1995.
Late Afternoon at the North Window: Arches National Park, Moab, Utah, August 1995.
Sunset at Delicate Arch: Arches National Park, Moab, Utah, August 1995.
A Quaint Piece of Fire-Fighting Equipment: I took a special walk out of our hotel in Waterton Lakes, Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada, expressly for the purpose of taking a picture of this. August 1998.
Columbia Icefield and Athabaska Glacier Toe: Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, August 1998.
Morraine Lake: Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada, August 1998. An engraving of this lake and the portion of the Rockies behind it was used for years on the reverse of the Canadian 20-dollar bill.
Warwick Castle: April 2000. In High School, I was lucky enough to be able to go on a band trip for a week in England. I fell in love with Warwickshire and the River Avon region, and I will always consider it to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
The Clock Tower of Britain's Parliament: April 2000. Better known - although erroneously called - "Big Ben".
The Chilean "Esmeralda": Groton/New London Harbor, Connecticut, for Opsail 2000 (June). She's the second largest tall ship in the world, a four-masted, steel-hulled barquentine with an overall length of 371 feet, a beam of almost 43 feet and masts 165 feet high.
Portland Head Lighthouse: October 2000.
Sunrise Over the Atlantic: From Appledore Island, Isles of Shoals, Maine, May 2001.
Sunset on the Mainland: From Appledore Island, Isles of Shoals, Maine, May 2001.
"Amor Caritas": Sculpted by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, at his studio in Cornish, New Hampshire, July 2001.
A Turkey Vulture Chick: My dad and I had a humorous experience finding this. Curiosity prompted us to investigate the seldom-used lofts of our old barn to find the source of an ominous hissing noise. It was not, as we speculated, a raccoon, oppossum, bear, or coyote, but instead, this little guy. July 2001.
Okay, I confess, I didn't take this one. This is my Senior Prom Picture (May 2000): Jen, Staci, Jen, Jen and Me.
I didn't take this one either. My dad did. This is me meeting Hilary Clinton! My parents and I got to attend a political fundraiser at which she was the keynote speaker in Schenectady, New York, June 2001.
